A Comprehensive Education for a Global Industry

In an industry where creativity and expertise are paramount, Vogue College of Fashion is offering students a unique opportunity to master the skills needed to succeed in the luxury sector.

The college’s Master’s programmes are designed to equip students with a comprehensive education in the management and development of luxury brands, as well as transferable soft and technical skills relevant to the industry.

According to Johannes Reponen, the college’s global academic director, the key to a successful education lies in engagement and motivation. “Learning can be fun, but it should also be practical,” he says. “Our faculty are active in the fashion industry, and we bring them in to share their expertise and integrate theory and practice.”

The college’s online MA in International Luxury Business is a one-year programme that commences in September 2025. The course offers a comprehensive education in the management and development of luxury brands, teaching students a mixture of subject-specific, transferable, soft and technical skills relevant to the industry.

One of the unique aspects of the programme is its flexibility. Students can choose to study part-time, making it accessible to those already working in the industry who want to acquire new skills or make themselves more employable.

The programme also prioritizes community-centred learning, making it feel more like an in-college experience despite being online.

The college’s graduates have gone on to work at a range of household luxury brands, as well as in media, including Vogue. However, the college’s approach is not prescriptive, focusing on providing a framework for students to acquire subject-specific knowledge and develop their particular expertise.

For international students, the college’s programmes offer a unique opportunity to learn the skills needed to succeed in their specific cultural context.

“We try to think about how we can create a space where students can use an international brand as a case study, to develop knowledge about a particular market sector or country,” says Reponen.

With a strong record of students going straight into employment from graduation, Vogue College of Fashion is a leading institution for those looking to succeed in the luxury industry.
