A High-Performance Masterpiece that Blends Track Focused Engineering with Street-Legal Refinement

The Maserati GT2 Stradale showcases its sleek design and advanced engineering at the New York Auto Show.

At the New York Auto Show, Maserati made a statement with the unveiling of its 2025 GT2 Stradale, a road-going version of its GT2 race car that dominated the Fanatec GT2 series in Europe. The GT2 Stradale boasts striking pearlescent Digital Aurora Matte paint that shifts from deep purple to mauve as the lights play across its surface, making it a showstopper even when standing still.

According to Alvin Bond, Brand Manager for Maserati North America, the GT2 Stradale is the ultimate expression of the Maserati brand. “This is the greatest expression of Maserati. This is the most amount of power. This is the coolest looking in my personal opinion,” he said.

The GT2 Stradale is built on the foundation of the MC20 coupe, with significant weight reduction, power boosts, and aggressive aerodynamic components. This results in a Maserati that is equally at home on a track as it is on a scenic drive. The car boasts additional cooling in the hood, a massive carbon fiber wing, and a rear diffuser that screams performance. Larger brakes and a new steering wheel with shift lights further underscore its track-ready credentials.

However, Bond emphasized that the GT2 Stradale is not just a track car, but a Maserati at heart. “It’s still a Maserati so you can take your friends and family in it and enjoy the day,” he said. “This is the ultimate expression of Maserati, but it’s still a Maserati that you can drive every day.”

The GT2 Stradale is not for the faint of heart, however. It’s for those who want peak Maserati and are willing to put in the time to learn how to handle its extreme capabilities. Maserati offers a track-focused experience for its GT2 Stradale buyers, where they can refine their skills and fully understand the car’s capabilities.

The GT2 Stradale also offers plenty of opportunities for personalization, with a range of paints, caliper colors, and interior colors available. Bond’s personal favorite is a bright yellow paint job, paired with a striking blue Alcantara interior.

The GT2 Stradale is a statement of Maserati’s commitment to pushing performance boundaries. It joins an evolving lineup that includes electric vehicles like the GranTurismo Folgore with 818 horsepower. For Bond, the GT2 Stradale is the pinnacle of the brand today. “This is the extreme of Maserati,” he said.

For those ready to embrace that extreme, Maserati offers not just a car, but a unique experience unlike what you’ll find in just any performance vehicle.
